The Gift Grab: Bring a wrapped gift that pertains to gardening.

 

Program: Garden Book Swap. Bring those garden books. You know, the ones that you read and loved, but are now collecting dust on your bookshelf. Bring your books and swap with others in the club. Books can range from everything from pruning to bonsai. Don’t be shy and be ready to bring home some great finds.

 

Speaker: The Dogwood Garden Club

Program: Make your houseplants thrive. This time of year, when it’s too cold and wet to go outside and enjoy our gardens, our houseplants become even more important. Learn a variety of tips on how to keep your houseplants at their healthiest. We will learn tips on everything from lighting to humidity, and from fertilizing to controlling pests. 

 

Speaker: The Dogwood Garden Club. Everyone be prepared to give tips on how you keep your favorite plant alive — and also the mistakes you have made that may have led to one of their demise. You are welcome to bring one of your plants to the meeting to demonstrate.

Program: Field trip! It’s spring and time to see what local nurseries have in store for us. We are heading up Mossy Rock to Degoede’s Bulb Farm and Nursery and check out their amazing hot houses, take a stroll through their show garden, learn how they put those incredible baskets together, and shop at the indoor gift shot. And, if we are lucky . . . the fields of tulips will still be in bloom.
